Our Story
Every company begins with a belief.
For Yogesh Joshi, that belief started in the early 1990s while working as a sales engineer in the pump industry. Traveling across industrial sites, he witnessed firsthand the challenges industries faced in managing complex fluid systems, systems that were critical to operations but often underserved by reliable engineering support. He believed engineering solutions should not just sell products, they should solve problems.
With that vision, he founded Crab & Taur Engineers Pvt Ltd in Pune in the mid-1990s. What began as a small entrepreneurial effort soon evolved into a trusted engineering partner for industries that depend on precision, reliability, and efficiency in fluid motion systems. Over the years, the company built strong technical expertise and forged partnerships with global technology leaders such as Flowserve, Trucent, and Katzen International, enabling it to deliver advanced pumping, filtration, and process solutions to industries ranging from energy and chemicals to pharmaceuticals and food processing.
Today, what started as one engineer’s vision has grown into a dedicated team delivering engineering, EPC, and turnkey solutions across critical industrial sectors. Yogesh Joshi
Founder & Managing Director
Yogesh Joshi is a seasoned engineering professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering. He completed his schooling at HAL High School in Nasik before pursuing his degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career began in 1991 when he joined a leading pump company as a sales engineer, where he honed his skills in sales and customer relations. Driven by a passion for innovation and a desire to offer tailored solutions, Yogesh Joshi founded Crab and Taur Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (C&T) in 1995. Under his visionary leadership, C&T has grown into a prominent provider of specialized flow solutions and services across various industries.
As the Managing Director of C&T, Yogesh has been instrumental in shaping the company’s direction, focusing on delivering comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solutions. His leadership style is centred around fostering transparency, delegation of responsibilities, and empowering colleagues, which has helped create a strong sense of accountability and belonging within the team. His commitment to building a high-performance culture has contributed significantly to the company’s success and long-term employee retention. With over three decades of experience, Yogesh Joshi has successfully led C&T through growth and expansion, building a dedicated team with an average tenure of over 20 years. His unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and a customer-centric approach has been key to the company’s continued success.
Looking ahead, He is focused on leveraging emerging technologies to further enhance C&T’s capabilities in the EPC solutions space. His goal is to advance operational efficiency and service delivery through innovations in flow equipment and predictive maintenance. Outside of his professional life, he maintains a well-balanced lifestyle, enjoying reading, watching movies, engaging in sports, and traveling. He draws inspiration from the life and work of the legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev.
